Photobucket file upload!

Postby Michael Zanetti » Fri Nov 26, 2010 3:44 pm

Hi!

If you have a photobucket you will find out how annoying it is to upload a picture to photobucket.
I know that ava has asked some time ago, if I had a quick way of uploading a file to photobucket.

Yes I do ava! I have written a script for Nautilus (under Linux).
I posted all necessary information on my own wiki page.

A little 'thank you' goes out to Holy, for his gnome-screenshot trick ;)

Hi again,

Krasimir has figured out a little bug in my script. The problem was that nautilus-photobucket-upload didn't create the right folders.
Because of that, the script couldn't write stuff to the logfile, and because it didn't know what text to write in the email - the script stopped working and showed 100%.

You can download the new version (1.1) at:
http://www.kyoma.nl/files/nautilus-phot ... ket-upload

Don't forget to change:

Code: Select all

#Your own settings MY_PHOTOBUCKET_EMAIL="myusername.photobucketpincode@uploads.photobucket.com"

It DOES work now, although I can't upload pictures that are placed at my windows' partitions. But still; great script bro. :yarr:

Thats probably because of the path, I am guessing multiple upload won't work too if the folder (or file) has a spacebar in its name...
Still trying out how to fix it, normally 'this' or "this" or `this` should work but it didn't ..
